The International Conference on Electromagnetic Fields, Health and Environment - EHE - was conceived to become a global forum to discuss the latest developments and studies about the influence of electromagnetic fields on health and the environment.


Its impact in the scientific community involved in this case was remarkable. The last two editions, in the Island of Madeira, Portugal (2006), and Wroclaw, Poland (2007), were attended by the most important personalities of this today strategic research line.

Among its participants, we find medical researchers studying applications of electromagnetism in specific treatments, impact of electromagnetic fields on preventive medicine and evaluation of the impact of electromagnetic fields from the operation of electrical equipment (transmission lines, radio base stations, etc.) on public health, as well as researchers in the technical area, dealing with the formulations for the accurate calculation of the intensity of these fields in populated environments, and from biomagnetism and related fields.

The presence of authorities of the WHO and the ICNIRP brings to the conference the legal aspects of the recommendations currently in force and the studies being developed to update these recommendations, from the concerns of civil society in face of this issue. Saiba Mais ...
